Admission is valid for 30 minutes from the time indicated on your ticket. If you arrive after your entire time slot is past, please contact the Welcome Desk. There is no limit to the amount of time you can spend in the museum, but you must leave by closing time at the latest, which is 7 p.m.

Chocolate tasting

Is the chocolate at the exhibition vegan?

The following types of chocolate at the exhibition are made without ingredients which are of animal origin:- Lindt Excellence 70% Cacao (offered at the exhibition from the Klack Klack machines)
– Lindt Naps Crémant 49% (handed out on the CHOCO-DELUXE and CHOCO SCHOOL guided tours)
As all Lindt products are manufactured in the same factory and partly at the same plant, traces of milk ingredients may occasionally find their way into products which are otherwise (according to the recipe) milk-free, even after the production lines are thoroughly cleaned.

Does the chocolate at the exhibition contain peanuts or hazelnuts?

L&S is generally a peanut-free company, so none of the chocolates at the exhibition will contain peanuts.

But the chocolates may contain nuts (hazelnuts, almonds and other nuts), either as an ingredient or as traces due to unavoidable cross-contamination.

Lindt companies also process various ingredients which can trigger allergies. The main ones are nuts, milk ingredients, eggs and soy, but occasionally also other allergens.

Before consuming products, it is therefore essential allergy sufferers check the list of ingredients and the allergen information on the packaging or at the exhibition or ask our trained Maître chocolatiers and guides.

Is the chocolate at the exhibition lactose-free?

No, L&S does not currently have any products which are lactose-free.

Is the chocolate at the exhibition gluten-free?

If the list of ingredients includes barley malt extract as the only gluten-containing source, the gluten content of these products will be less than 20 ppm and therefore considered gluten-free under Swiss law.

Based on this definition, the following types of chocolate at the exhibition are gluten-free:

  • Lindor balls (all varieties on offer)
  • Milk, white and dark chocolate in the chocolate fountain
  • Excellence 70%, Excellence Orange Intense, Excellence Caramel & Sea Salt, and Excellence Sea Salt
  • Squares Milk Caramel and Squares Dark Caramel Sea Salt
  • And the tasting products also given out on guided tours such as nibs, cocoa liquor, pulp juice and Naps Surfin

The following types of chocolate at the exhibition are not considered gluten-free:

  • Squares Dark Orange
  • The mix delivered to the guides

Please note the allergen information on site or ask the staff at the exhibition.

Do the chocolates in the exhibition contain alcohol?

No, they do not contain alcohol either as an ingredient or a flavor carrier.

Are there Lindt chocolates which are certified as kosher?

No, L&S does not offer any products in Europe which are certified as kosher.

Some Jewish communities in Switzerland have lists of products (including Lindt products) which are suitable for a kosher diet. See kosher lists of Jewish communities in Switzerland (swissjews.ch).

Are there Lindt chocolates which are certified as halal?

None of our production sites has been and/or actually is Halal certified and therefore we do not use any Halal label on our packaging. However, some of our products are in line with Halal requirements.  If you would like us to check your favourite Lindt product, please send us its full name.

Guided chocolate tour

What is the minimum recommended age for a guided chocolate tour?

Exploring the museum is suitable for all ages, and there is something for everyone to discover. However, due to the information shared during the guided tour (geographical and historical content), we recommend it for children aged seven and older.

Chocolate courses

What ages are allowed to participate in the chocolate courses?

All of our chocolate courses are guaranteed to thrill children and adults alike.

The “Masterpiece chocolate bars” course is open to children from 5 to 12 years of age when accompanied by an adult. The “Chocolate figures & lollipops” course is designed for children aged 8 to 12 when accompanied by an adult.

One adult is allowed to accompany up to four children. Children over 12 may participate without adult accompaniment.

Are there discounted tickets for children? Does an accompanying person also have to have a ticket?

The ticket price for children and adults is the same. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 may only participate if accompanied by an adult, who also needs their own ticket.

Can I bring a younger child as a spectator or in a baby carriage?

Unfortunately not. Children under the age of 5 are not allowed in the classroom.

When are the chocolate course tickets available?

The public courses are usually published online about a month in advance and can be booked directly.

Is admission to the museum included in the course ticket?

No, the course and the museum visit require separate tickets.

What can I do if I cannot attend the course?

Please contact us at chocolateria-ch@lindt.com. Tickets can be refunded up to 48 hours after purchase.

Why is there no refund if I am late for the course?

Refunds are not possible as the maitres work with specially prepared materials in the course, which cannot be reused if you do not show up or are late. In addition, due to strict quality and hygiene standards, costs are incurred regardless of participation. This arrangement ensures a high-quality experience for all participants.
